The Pleasure of

Discovery

For lovers of discovery

The Uso  bikeway

Let yourself be immersed in the river environment of the Uso among willows and oaks that shade the passage, the waterway inhabited by species of wildlife interest such as kingfishers and grey herons.
Soon, after crossing the Canale Emiliano Romagnolo, the itinerary lands at Villa Torlonia, the ancient Giovedìa Castle, one of the landmarks of poet Giovanni Pascoli's life.
Glimpses of the foothills of the Apennines, Mount Titano and the cliff of San Leo fuel the desire for adventure, and before you know it, you find yourself pedaling through the narrow streets of Santarcangelo di Romagna's city center.

Trekking between nature and taste

Talamello is an ancient village that sits atop a rocky spur at the foot of Mount Pincio.

This village is well known for the production of the famous Fossa cheese, nicknamed by the well-known Romagna poet, Tonino Guerra, "Ambra di Talamello" because of its color that resembles amber.

The trekking route starts right from the heart of Talamello, and once you reach the top of Mount Pincio, following a beautiful loop trail that enters a wonderful chestnut grove, you continue until you reach the slopes of Mount Aquilone.

It is here that the experience is enhanced with a delicious tasting directly in the caves where the famous fossa cheeses are born.

At the end, you resume the walk back to Talamello.
